Example of Vesuvio Metallic Anthony Sozanski
Porsche Vesuvio Metallic is one of the more curious colors to be offered by Porsche. It's appearance is highly dependent on the lighting. In shadows, on a cloudy day or in other weak light situations, it's quite grey. In direct sunlight, there is a very strong purple cast to it. Vesuvio is one of a handful of colors that bridged the air-cooled to water-cooled era. It was available on both the 993 and the 996. It's named for the famous volcano that overlooks the city of Naples.
